Most of the Japanese domestic cosmetics products do not have an expiry date printed or stated on the packaging.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee to provide information on manufacturing dates either, as some manufacturers have refused to disclose this information.
Here is one of the replies we got from a Japanese cosmetics maker when checking for manufacturing date.
"According to the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act, cosmetics are required to display an expiration date if they are likely to deteriorate within three years under normal storage conditions. However, unopened products without an expiration date are manufactured to maintain their quality for at least three years. It's important to note that the contents may deteriorate depending on storage conditions, so please carefully check the condition of the product before use and refrain from using it if there are any abnormalities."
If you wish to check the Product Manufacture Code, please note that in most cases, we can only provide the code after the goods have been delivered to our warehouse.
There is a handling fee of JPY ¥500 for each SKU (barcode) when checking the Manufacture Code.
Please inform us before making the payment if you would like us to check the Manufacture Code and we will add it to the same invoice.

The "Expiry after Manufacture (days)" information is provided for each listed item on our website.
However, we cannot guarantee the exact expiry date of the products.
This is because the items listed on our website are not stocked at our warehouse.
We order them from distributors once we receive your payment.
The distributors do not provide us with the expiry date information as it is not a standard practice in the distribution industry in Japan.
If you require products that are freshly manufactured, we can only promise such freshness if you place a 20" container volume order.
