What Should I Know About Customs and Import Regulations?

Please note that while DHL, Air Courier, and Japan Post Office provide door-to-door service, we are not responsible for import regulations imposed by the destination country. If customs holds your parcel, we will assist as much as possible with any required documents, but we cannot guarantee the outcome. Handling customs requirements is your responsibility. Additionally, import taxes and duty fees are not included in the shipping costs.

In our experience, customs inspects about 1 or 2 parcels out of every 50 shipments sent via DHL. If your parcel fails to meet customs regulations and is returned to Japan, we cannot refund the shipping fees or the cost of the products. It will be the buyer's responsibility to find an alternative shipping method (usually through Japan Post Office) and cover the additional return and reshipping costs.
